AMAZON NATIVE ADS

We are currently using Amazon native ads which are JavaScript based. JS can make it easier to customize advertisements in many ways.  By default Native ads will use 2 rows like tho ones seen on this site.

CHOICES

The native ads have 3 basic classes: recommended, search and custom. Most can make do with the recommended ads, as these are contextual etc.

ONE OR TWO ROWS

amzn_assoc_rows = “1”;

will make the advertisement 1 row tall which is more desireable for footer ads etc. We could have split the ad into 2 pieces for the sidebar.

RANDOM

When using the custom ads, you are using a set up AISN numbers for specific items. So the native ad needs at least 4 items but its advisable to use the maximum of 20. The reason is that if a given item is sold out then other items will be selected. With 20 items the ransomizer works a lot better.

amzn_assoc_random_permute = “true”;

CODE

The code snippets can be pasted below the link-id or elsewhere in the code block.
